MongoDB Server from 8.3.0 before 8.3.13, from 8.0 before 8.0.34, and from 9.0 before 9.0.4 is affected. Collection validation does not properly handle certain expressions stored in a validator, which is a NULL pointer dereference (CWE-476). An authenticated user with write access can cause the server process to stop when a document is later inserted into the collection.
