Attack profile from CVSS 3.1 · CNA. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-79.

Summary

Adobe Experience Manager 6.5 LTS through 6.5 LTS SP3 and Adobe Experience Manager 6.5 through 6.5.25 contain a stored cross-site scripting flaw (CWE-79). Input submitted to vulnerable form fields is not neutralized before it is stored and displayed. An unauthenticated remote attacker can have malicious JavaScript run in a victim's browser when the victim opens the page containing the vulnerable field, which may give the attacker elevated access or control over the victim's account or session, with user interaction required and a scope change.

Description from the CNA

Adobe Experience Manager is affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field, potentially gaining elevated access or control over the victim's account or session. Scope is changed.
