Summary

Nezha from 1.0.0 before 2.3.15 contains a memory exhaustion flaw in the dashboard file manager WebSocket endpoint, where the message size is never limited, which is CWE-770. An authenticated user with file manager permissions can send one oversized binary message to the file WebSocket endpoint, causing the process to run out of memory and get killed, which stops all agent monitoring. The CVSS 4.0 vector rates the attack as low complexity over the network with low privileges and no user interaction. Public proof-of-concept exploit code is reported, but the flaw is not listed in CISA KEV.

Description from the CNA

Nezha 1.0.0 before 2.3.15 contains a memory exhaustion vulnerability in the dashboard file manager WebSocket endpoint because fmStream never calls SetReadLimit, leaving message size unbounded. Authenticated users with file manager scopes can send one oversized binary message to /api/v1/ws/file/:id, triggering an OOM kill that drops all agent monitoring.
