The Dark Mode (Improve Accessibility with AI Powered Dark Theme) plugin for WordPress is affected in all versions up to and including 5.3.17. Insufficient sanitization and output escaping of the 'icon_light' shortcode attribute enable stored cross-site scripting (CWE-79). The Dark Mode – Improve Accessibility with AI Powered Dark Theme plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'icon_light' Shortcode Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 5.3.17 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
