Summary
Adri van Os antiword from 0 through 0.37 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in vGet8LstInfo in prop8.c (CWE-125). An inverted bounds check on the PlcfLst record count lets a crafted Word 8 .doc file read past the heap allocation. A local attacker needs a user to open the file, and the read crashes the process. A public exploit is linked in the references.
