Summary

Apache Answer through 2.0.2 has an incorrect authentication implementation (CWE-303) in its User Center login integration. A newly created external user session omits the external identity, so later requests skip central account suspension and deletion checks. A remote user with low privileges can keep access after the central account is suspended or deleted, until the session expires or is revoked.

Description from the CNA

Incorrect implementation of authentication algorithm vulnerability in Apache Answer. This issue affects Apache Answer: through 2.0.2. A flaw in the User Center login integration can cause a newly created external user session to omit its external identity, allowing subsequent requests to bypass central account suspension or deletion checks until the session expires or is revoked.
