Summary

libdisplay-info through 0.4.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in the DisplayID v1 section parser (CWE-125). When a data block's declared length exceeds the section, the is_all_zeroes check reads past the buffer. An attacker who gets a user to load a crafted EDID from a malicious monitor, KVM, capture device or EDID file can cause a possible crash.
