Summary
libdisplay-info versions from 0.4.0 are affected. The DisplayID v2 section parser advances past the end of the EDID buffer when a data block declares an oversized length, a heap out-of-bounds read (CWE-125). A local attacker can supply a crafted EDID from a malicious monitor, KVM, capture device or file, which can crash applications that parse it.
