Summary

The affected curl versions include 8.22.0, 8.21.0, 8.20.0, 8.19.0, 8.18.0 and other versions. libcurl can return a CURLINFO_EFFECTIVE_URL value from curl_easy_getinfo() that contains credentials, even when neither the provided URL nor the redirected URL did (CWE-522). A remote attacker without privileges or user interaction can read those credentials.

Description from the CNA

libcurl could accidentally return a URL for `curl_easy_getinfo()`'s `CURLINFO_EFFECTIVE_URL` option containing credentials, even though neither the URL provided to libcurl nor the redirected URL did.
