Summary
HMS Networks PEAK-System Device Driver Setup through 5.1.2.1151 and PCAN Windows CAN device drivers through 5.1.2 are affected. The PCAN parser uses an attacker-controlled DLC value as an array index without checking its range (CWE-129), then copies attacker-supplied payload into a fixed-size stack buffer. A local user with low privileges can overwrite memory, with high impact on integrity and availability.

Description from the CNA
The PEAK-System PCAN parser indexes a length table using attacker-controlled DLC without enforcing DLC <= 0x0f, then copies attacker payload from record+0x1c into a fixed-size stack destination.
