Summary
Ghidra through 12.2 from NationalSecurityAgency contains an uncontrolled memory allocation flaw (CWE-789) in BinaryField.read() that trusts an unchecked 32-bit length field. An attacker who persuades a user to import a crafted GZF packed database file can exhaust heap memory, causing an OutOfMemoryError in PackedDatabase.open() that aborts the import and denies service.
