Summary

Apple iOS and iPadOS before 26.7.2, macOS Sequoia before 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe before 26.7.2, and tvOS, visionOS and watchOS before 27.2 are affected. An out-of-bounds read (CWE-125) lets processing a maliciously crafted image disclose process memory. A local user with no privileges can trigger it, but the victim must process the crafted image.

An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2. Processing a maliciously crafted image may result in disclosure of process memory.
