Summary
Gbsplay through 0.0.103 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in gbr_open() in gbs.c. The function does not verify the file length before scanning the GBR ROM title field (CWE-125). An attacker who supplies a crafted GBR file of 0x21 to 0x162 bytes can read past the heap buffer, crashing gbsplay or leaking memory. The attack requires a local user to open the crafted file, and the CVSS 4.0 score is 4.8 (medium).
