Attack profile from CVSS 4.0 · CNA. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-639.
Summary
openEQUELLA before 2026.1 exposes the GET /api/userquery/userinfobackup endpoint without any authentication or authorisation check. An unauthenticated remote attacker who supplies another user's uniqueId can retrieve that user's stored username, first name, last name and email address within the same institution. The flaw is an authorization bypass through a user-controlled key (CWE-639).
