Summary
TYPO3 extension "Mail" from 4.0.0 before 4.2.0 and from 0 before 3.12.5 does not restrict the settings submitted when saving the configuration of the mail backend module. Backend users with access to the mail module can write arbitrary page TSconfig, which is a missing input neutralization issue (CWE-74). The CVSS 4.0 vector shows low privileges are required, and no user interaction is needed.

Description from the CNA
Saving the configuration of the mail backend module writes submitted settings to the page TSconfig without restricting them to the configuration options of the module. Backend users with access to the mail module can write arbitrary page TSconfig.
