Summary
FreeRDP before 3.32.2 allocates memory based on a length value from the RD Gateway without limits (CWE-770). A malicious RD Gateway can send an eight-byte header declaring packet length 0x7FFFFFFF, forcing the client to allocate about 2 GiB in rdg_receive_packet before tunnel authentication. Attackers who control the gateway can exhaust memory and cause a denial of service.

Description from the CNA
FreeRDP before 3.32.2 contains a memory allocation vulnerability in rdg_receive_packet that allows a malicious RD Gateway to force a 2 GiB client allocation before tunnel authentication. Attackers can send an eight-byte RDG header declaring packet length 0x7FFFFFFF to trigger pre-authentication memory exhaustion and denial of service.
