Summary
The YaySMTP WP Mail SMTP plugin for WordPress, in all versions up to and including 2.7.8, is vulnerable to time-based SQL injection via the 'params[searchKey]' parameter. The flaw exists because user-supplied input is insufficiently escaped and the existing SQL query is not properly prepared (CWE-89). An authenticated attacker with administrator-level access or higher can append additional SQL queries to existing ones, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Description from the CNA
The YaySMTP – WP Mail SMTP with Email Logs, Tracking & Reports plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the 'params[searchKey]' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.8 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
