Summary

NLnet Labs Routinator is affected when it parses an AS range whose maximum value is smaller than its minimum value. Routinator never reaches the maximum value, so it keeps consuming memory until it runs out. A remote attacker without privileges and without user interaction can exhaust memory and stop the service, as the flaw is an improper handling of exceptional conditions (CWE-755).

Description from the CNA

When parsing an AS range in Routinator, if the maximum value of the range is smaller than the minimum value of the range, Routinator will never reach the maximum value and run out of memory.
