Attack profile from CVSS 3.1 · CISA ADP. Fix status from CNA. Impact type from CWE-862.
Summary
Jenkins 2.587 and earlier and LTS 2.580.1 and earlier convert the launch commands in older agent configurations into launchers provided by the Command Agent Launcher Plugin without checking whether an administrator approved them. An attacker with Agent/Configure permission can execute arbitrary code in the context of the Jenkins controller JVM. The weakness is CWE-862, Missing Authorization.
