Summary

The FluentCart plugin for WordPress is affected in all versions up to and including 1.6.2. Insufficient file path validation in the deleteFile function (CWE-22) lets an authenticated attacker with custom-level access or higher delete arbitrary files on the server. Deleting a critical file such as wp-config.php can lead to remote code execution.

Description from the CNA

The FluentCart A New Era of eCommerce – Faster, Lighter, and Simpler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the deleteFile function in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
