Summary
Ghidra before 12.2 contains a flaw in ExtensionUtils.unzipToInstallationFolder() that mishandles highly compressed data (CWE-409). An attacker who persuades a user to install a crafted zip bomb extension archive can exhaust disk space, because the archive expands without size limits. The attack requires user interaction, and later writes by Ghidra and other applications then fail.

Description from the CNA
Ghidra before 12.2 contains an improper handling of highly compressed data vulnerability in ExtensionUtils.unzipToInstallationFolder() that allows attackers to exhaust disk space. Attackers can persuade users to install a crafted zip bomb extension archive that expands without size limits, causing later writes by Ghidra and other applications to fail.
