Summary

Chatwoot before 4.17.0 contains an authorization bypass that lets authenticated agent bots act on other accounts. The flaw is an authorization bypass through a user-controlled key (CWE-639), because the conversations create endpoint accepts a contact inbox source_id belonging to a different account. An authenticated attacker with agent bot access can use a foreign source_id to create or retrieve conversations and post messages to that account's contacts.

Chatwoot before 4.17.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated agent bots to access other accounts by supplying a foreign contact inbox source_id.
