Summary

SurrealDB from 3.1.0 before 3.3.0 has a missing authorization check (CWE-862) that lets authenticated users delete protected graph edges. A REFERENCE ON DELETE CASCADE runs edge cleanup with permission checks disabled, so an attacker with delete permission on a referenced table can erase edges even when the edge table's PERMISSIONS FOR delete clause forbids it. The CVSS vector rates the impact as low integrity and low availability, with low privileges needed over the network.

Description from the CNA

SurrealDB from 3.1.0 before 3.3.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to delete protected graph edges by triggering a REFERENCE ON DELETE CASCADE. Attackers with delete permission on a referenced table can delete a record whose cascade disables permission checks for edge cleanup, erasing edges despite the edge table's PERMISSIONS FOR delete clause.
