Summary
phpMyAdmin through 5.2.3 contains an authentication bypass in CustomServer::parseAndValidateAssertionResponse(), which never verifies WebAuthn assertion signatures against stored public keys (CWE-347). An attacker who holds a victim's MySQL credentials can submit a crafted authentication response to skip the second factor and gain database privileges. A public exploit is linked in the references.

Description from the CNA
phpMyAdmin through 5.2.3 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in CustomServer::parseAndValidateAssertionResponse() that never verifies WebAuthn assertion signatures against stored public keys.
