Summary

n8n before 1.123.83, from 2.0.0 before 2.41.4, and from 2.42.0 before 2.42.1 contains a stored cross-site scripting flaw in the Chat Trigger hosted-chat page. Insufficiently sanitised customCss values are inserted into the page as markup (CWE-79). A workflow author can publish a chat that requires no n8n user authentication, and its payload runs on the instance origin, acting on the sessions of signed-in visitors.
