Summary

Trudesk through 1.2.11 contains an authorization bypass that lets any authenticated user modify tickets outside their groups. The flaw is an authorization bypass through a user-controlled key (CWE-639), since the ticket update endpoints PUT /api/v1/tickets/:id and PUT /api/v2/tickets/batch only check the default tickets:update role grant and accept arbitrary ticket ObjectIds. An authenticated attacker with low privileges can change the status, subject, group, priority or assignee of other tickets, or close many tickets at once. A public proof of concept is linked in the references.

Description from the CNA

Trudesk through 1.2.11 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to modify tickets outside their groups via PUT /api/v1/tickets/:id and PUT /api/v2/tickets/batch. Attackers can supply arbitrary ticket ObjectIds to change status, subject, group, priority or assignee, or mass-close tickets, since only the default tickets:update role grant is checked.
