Summary
n8n versions before 1.123.85, 2.43.5, and 2.44.1 contain an authorization bypass (CWE-863, Incorrect Authorization) that lets authenticated members use credentials they cannot access. An attacker who knows a credential ID can run Execute Workflow nodes in inline JSON mode with non-boolean disabled values, which skips the permission check. The decrypted credentials can then be sent to an attacker-controlled server. CVSS 4.0 scores it 5.1 (MEDIUM); CISA has not added it to KEV, and no exploitation is reported.

Description from the CNA
n8n before 1.123.85, 2.43.5, and 2.44.1 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated members to use inaccessible credentials through inline sub-workflow nodes with non-boolean disabled values. Attackers knowing a credential id can run Execute Workflow nodes in inline JSON mode that skip the permission check and send decrypted credentials to attacker-controlled servers.
